Sales Development Representative

Department: Salaried Sales - Boston

Keystone is a growing national career management and leadership development firm with over 200 employees and consultants across the United States. We have offices in the Boston and Chicago areas. However, this position will be remote.

Position Summary:

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Keystone Partners, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our national expansion strategy by generating qualified leads and initiating meaningful discussions with potential buyers in new markets across the United States. This integral new role will complement our existing field sales and marketing organization, contributing to the growth of the business by setting the stage for successful sales outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Conduct research to identify potential buyers within target industries and markets.
  • Utilize various tools and platforms to source and gather contact information for potential leads.
  • Deliver outbound communication through cold calling, email campaigns, and social to create initial interest and capture opportunities from strategic targets.

Qualification and Outreach:

  • Engage with and nurture leads to understand their business needs, challenges, and pain points.
  • Qualify inbound marketing and sales leads based on predefined criteria to determine their fit for our solutions and services and to create a sales pipeline.
  • Set priorities and advance sales opportunities with respective sales team members and leaders.

Collaborating with Marketing and Field Sales:

  • Build cross-department relationships and lines of communication to share valuable insights with the business units, marketing, and field sales teams.
  • Contribute feedback to marketing and sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to refine prospecting strategies and messaging.

Database Management and Reporting:

  • Manage lead and opportunity creation activities in CRM database.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all lead interactions and information in CRM.
  • Track lead progression and document follow-up actions to ensure timely and effective communication.
  • Provide regular reporting on campaign effectiveness and lead-generation activities.

Continuous Learning and Development:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, our solutions, and the competitive landscape to effectively communicate value propositions to prospective buyers.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance prospecting and communication skills.
  • Gain command of our solutions and proven sales strategies by shadowing and learning first-hand from seasoned Sales Executives.

Experience/Skills/Knowledge:

  • Previous experience as SDR or BDR is desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Chorus, and Outreach is advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear and concise communication with team members, stakeholders, and prospects.
  • Resilient and determined mindset to handle rejection and overcome objections.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and maintain positive relationships with leads.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage lead data, follow-up, and prospecting activities efficiently.

Education/Certifications/Affiliations:

  • A bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, business administration, business management, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in the core principles of sales and marketing.
